THE PLAYERS

Saturday / Sunday, May 6 / 7 – 9am Shotgun Start


ENTRY FEE:

$130 per player billed to your account.  Includes breakfast both days, lunch on both days and prizes. 

 

FORMAT:

2-Man Team - Pick your partner.

Saturday Holes 1-9 are Scramble:   Both Players tee off and select the most desired shot.  Repeat the process until the ball is holed.  Each Player may lift, clean, and place the ball within one club length of the selected shot. However, you may not change the condition (fairway, rough, bunker, penalty area). Maximum score on a hole is 8.

 

Saturday Holes 10-18 are Alternate Shot:  You must decide which player will tee off on the odd number holes 1,3,5,7,9 and which player will tee off on the even number holes 2,4,6,8.  Maximum score on a hole is 8.

 

Sunday Holes 1-9 are Total Score of Both Balls:  Each player plays their own ball. Add both NET Scores together for the Team score.  Maximum individual score is Net Triple Bogey.

 

Sunday Holes 10-18 are Best Ball:  Each player plays their own ball and uses the best NET Score of the two using your 9 holes handicap. Maximum score is Net Triple Bogey.

 

The pro shop will post each player’s score for only the Sunday round to GHIN.

 

PAYOUTS:

Overall Winner:  There will be one overall winner (The combined score of all four formats)

 

Flight Winners:  There will be 4 flights based on the 4 formats; the number of payouts in each flight will be determined by the level of participation.

 

Overall Winners and Flight Winners receive pro shop credit.

A team can only win one way.

 

ELIGIBILITY:

The field will be held to a Maximum of 60 Teams.  The tournament is open to all MGA Members as follows:  1) Teams with Equity Members both Unrestricted and Restricted/Intermediates on a first come first served basis.  2) Teams with Non-Equity Members will be put on a waitlist and fill remaining open spots

 

PLAYER OF THE YEAR POINTS:

Player of the Year points are awarded based on team finish in Revised Team Index Flights. See the MGA Members Handbook for details on point allocation.
