HOT BALL COMES DOWN TO
FINAL HOLE!
What a finish we saw for this first event where teams of four play two formats on each hole. One player plays his own ball while the other three players play a scramble format.
With three holes to go, two teams looked to be the front runners. John Ball | Steve Tendick | Mike Salisbury | Jim Quigley jumped into the lead on their third to last hole with a net -3 while Jamison Harris | Ashley Lee | Craig Gorman | Mike Shutt made net par. After both made net birdie heading to their final hole at -21 & -20 respectively, another team jumped into the mix. Rock Patel | Dan Lee | Phil Campbell | Todd Campbell, finishing ahead of the other two on the opposite nine, went a total of -5 on their last two holes to post the clubhouse lead at -20!
On the final hole, Ball | Tendick | Salisbury | Quigley stumbled to a bogey setting the stage for Harris | Lee | Gorman | Shutt to tie with par or birdie to win. Playing the 12th hole as their last, they found a birdie in the scramble format to win by 1 stroke!!

SANDLER / CHRISTIE STRIKE GOLD IN SHAMROCK!
A big thank you to all those who joined us at our second MGA event of the year, The Shamrock! At the halfway point on the day, Shane Touhy | Marvin Janssen took the lead at -6, highlighted by birdies on 9, 10, and 12, plus an eagle on 11. Right behind them were several teams at -5, ready to make a move.
As the round progressed, three teams emerged as contenders. Touhy | Janssen cooled off, while Brian Sandler | Jonathan Christie took a one-shot lead at -9 through 15, with Ted Wood | Rob Waters and Michael Berndt | Troy Slate just one shot behind. Sandler | Christie finished strong with a -2 over the last three holes, securing the victory by two strokes. This marks the first MGA win for both players - congratulations!
Worth an honorable mention, the team of Chad Parramore | Matt Beall went -3 in their last four holes to vault into second place overall. Had to mention for those horse race bets out there...
